Nestled along Km 4.2 Ambuklao Road in the scenic Brgy, La Trinidad area of Benguet, Cantina - Philippines offers a vibrant dining experience that beautifully captures the essence of both rustic charm and modern comfort. This restaurant effortlessly blends local flavors with a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and families alike.
Cuisine-wise, Cantina serves a variety of hearty dishes that showcase the best of Filipino and regional specialties with a creative touch. Diners rave about their bagnet skillet, a crispy and succulent pork belly dish that delivers a perfect balance of savory richness and crunchy texture. The porkchop skillet and smoked back ribs are equally indulgent, with tender, smoky flavors that linger delightfully on the palate. For those craving a delightful twist, the farmers pizza introduces a fresh and flavorful take on a classic, while the etag carbonara offers an exciting, smoky-savory pasta experience unique to the region.
The dining atmosphere at Cantina is something truly special. The space is described as “instagramworthy” — a perfect backdrop of natural and rustic rustic décor that invites both relaxation and lingering conversations. Families feel particularly at home here, as the restaurant is notably kids-friendly; children can freely explore the open space, making it as much an enjoyable outing for parents as it is for little ones. The friendly and attentive staff add to the welcoming vibe, even going the extra mile by helping guests capture memorable photos during their visit.
One intriguing aspect is Cantina’s close connection to its neighboring restaurant, The Barn. Together they offer two distinctive dining options side by side — The Barn being more elevated and formal, while Cantina provides a more casual and accessible menu option. Reservations for Cantina come with a minimum consumption, which reflects the quality and experience guests receive here.
Guests have noticed that the entrance can be a bit subtle, so coming prepared with directions or photos helps make finding the spot hassle-free. Parking is available, and the staff’s warm hospitality from the moment you arrive sets a comforting tone that stays through the meal.
In sum, Cantina is an ideal destination for anyone looking to savor authentic, soulful food in a setting that’s both beautiful and laid-back. Whether you’re sharing plates with family or enjoying a contemplative meal admiring the view, Cantina’s offerings promise a genuine and memorable Filipino dining adventure.

Cantina Honestly, I was looking for The Barn and found this restaurant. They sort of have the same vibe, I thought. I assumed that the Barn was closed as of the time, so I decided to book a reservation in this restaurant for the view. Later, I found out that they are actually affiliated and just beside each other. In order to dine in here, you would have to pay Eight Hundred Pesos (Php 800) per person. The amount is consumable to all items on the menu. A pretty hefty price if you think about it at first, but it is a special occasion, after all, and what we are after is the view. There are only a handful of restaurants in and near Baguio that has a great view. Cantina was by chance, near our hotel. It was raining that day, and we were a bit saddened because there might be no sunset, but otherwise, the view is still nice. We ordered a pizza, salad and a carafe of juice. Price breakdown below: Five Cheese Medley P680 Cobb Salad P620 Hibiscus Berry Teaser P480 As we waited for our food, we looked around their Star Wars inspired place. Just coming down from the gate to the dining area, you’ll be greeted by action figures from different movies (i.e. Marvel, Star Wars, Resident Evil), TV shows, anime and cartoons. I bet the owner is quite the collector as some of these can range up to five figures. I love the unique integration of lego into the concrete walls, floors and door. It definitely made the place look fun! It was only us for the evening schedule, so we had the place to ourselves. The rain and fog cleared and we were blessed with a fleeting sunset. The lights came on, and somehow, it was magical. Their staff was nice and hospitable, always smiling and love the small chats we had about the mountain ridges and scenery. I know the cost of the food may shock you, but we honestly enjoyed it and it tasted wonderful, especially the pizza. The juice, however, is a bit too much for the price. As a cafe owner ourselves, we know how hard it is to transport stocks to hard to reach locations. And Cantina is pretty far from the city of Baguio. By car it will be around 20-30 minutes. I don’t advice commuting at night as transportation back is hard to come by. Maybe if you rent a taxi. All in all, we enjoyed our time at Cantina. Next time, we will be trying the Barn.

The entrance is easy to miss, so make sure to see photos of the place and parking It has 2 restaurants, The Barn and Cantina have different menus Barn being the elevated option We went to cantina instead It wasn't crowded when we walked in and the lady was very nice to explain to us everything while taking our order before going to the tables We got the Nachos, the dip was fantastic but the chips were alittle stale and lacked crunch, wish they could have maybe microwaved the chips? We got the skillets, Benguet and Adobo it was awesome, would recommend the Benguet: the pork and loganisa was amazing The Adobo was meat shreaded into thin threads and fried, generous serving of rice and eggs on both Do note that parking is LIMITED if it's busy There is a Headcount charge depending on seating at the Verenda or inside. I think the Verenda cost 730php per head

There are two resto options (Cantina and The Barn) that is separated from each other. Unfortunately, furry ones are not welcomed but the staff at the reception volunteered to look after our dog (in a covered stroller) with her so we can enjoy the resto. The food was good though on the high side as there is a minimum consumable per person depending if you'll sit inside the resto or at the veranda. The farmer's pizza was good! Try the apps too. The owner must have spent tons and tons with all the collectibles displayed at the resto. Lego and action figures all around even at the restroom.
